Whether we like to admit it, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before we know it! Along with holidays come the craziness of scheduling holiday photos to send out to loved ones and on our Christmas cards! As a mom of two I completely understand all the chaotic planning that goes into giving our families a memorable Christmas and holiday season.
That is why this year, I will not only be offering outdoor holiday photo sessions, but a select amount of indoor sessions as well!
Part of the criteria of looking for a new home to fit our family, was to have an exclusive space for my work. And guess what? We found it.
My studio will be the perfect size for newborn photo shoots, baby's milestones, & children's portraits! I want to stay true to my love of the outdoors and capturing families in natural settings, but sometimes mother nature does not place nice!
So stay tuned for more information on Christine Wans Photography's new studio and if you are interested in getting an indoor spot contact me now!
I cannot say it enough. I love newborn baby boys. Although, having primarily photographed so many boys this past year, I was thrilled for a little girl who came my way! Her mom and I go way back, and seeing her with her daughters was such great experience. Two baby girls, very close in age was challenging, I will not lie - but the results..........so worth it! Big sister was very interested in the whole event and absolutely the cutest!
I hope mom and dad enjoyed these photos as much as I did!
The wonderful thing about newborns, is that they arrive when they are good and ready. While some babies wait until well past their 40 week stay, some babies arrive early. This newborn boy decided to come earth side a bit earlier than expected. Fortunately both Mama and baby were nice and healthy and eagerly awaiting their newborn photo shoot!
A sweet little sleepy guy, this guy was a dream, hence his dreamy styled photo edits. For more information on booking a Northern New Jersey Newborn Photo shoot, please contact me!
This little guy, was born only one day after my very own birthday! He is the youngest of three boys, and his gender was not revealed until he arrived. How much fun is that? Sometimes I think of my little guys as newborns, and wish I had waited until their birth to find out their sex. Also the white quilt is a special homemade gift from a family member that each boy in this family has been photographed on or in!
This was also mama's third natural and drug-free birth, so kuddos to her!
His big brothers think he is pretty neat and so do I ;)
Lots of newborn photographers claim that there is just a small window to photograph newborns. In order to get those tricky poses of a fresh newborn, yes, the first few days of life work well. But it is not the only age that is appropriate for photographing a newborn. Yes, it may take a little more work to comfort them, or how about this - they may even be awake and content!
This little guy was 3 weeks old and was a dream :) So if you are wondering, "When is the best time to photograph a newborn?", the answer simply varies. This little guy slept well after a bit of feeding, but was less inclined to curl in his legs or arms. Can you blame him?

I had the opportunity to photo graph a sweet newborn girl. She was a dream. Slept the whole time and was even very happy in the buff!! Her parents requested one specific photo in an Easter theme, so I found this adorable little hat from Natural Newborn Knits on Etsy! How adorable!
Check her out!
Sweet baby newborn boys just make my heart melt.
Here is a quick peek at my latest newborn.....a sweet baby girl.
This little guy is my first newborn for 2014! The new year is always a breathe of fresh air as it allows us to move forward with new goals and dreams. My goals for 2014 are to be more organized!! Is that even possible? Since I work out of my home(that is already a small pace), I love reading different ideas on how to be creative with the space I already have. I really love HGTV for new ideas and inspiration! Where do you find your inspiration?
This year I have a bunch of new projects I am working on ;) For now take a peek at a new life below. He was wide awake, but very happy and calm.
Photographing this little newborn boy, almost makes me want to have another baby. Like all newborns, he was sweet and made the most adorable newborn sounds while he was sleeping :) When I have a sessions like this, I feel lucky to get my newborn snuggles in between shots. It puts my biological clock in its place!
Spring if coming and that means more baby fever! I love this particular article on 'Baby Fever' in TIME magazine. Did you know men get it too?
Whenever I get a chance to photograph an expectant mother, I really enjoy photographing her newborn. This couple was so beautiful together and were expecting their first child. You can check out her maternity photography session here!
This Northern New Jersey newborn photography session has come full circle. It is always special when I get the chance to photograph a mom for a maternity session, then when the baby arrives.
I absolutely love a pregnant woman. There is a beauty that comes along with being pregnant that I am envious of. There is truly a glow and during this maternity photo session in Northern N.J., it was apparent. Melissa and Eric are expecting their first child and the excitement in their eyes was easily seen during their photo shoot. I am looking forward to photographing their little guy when he is born!
